SuperMan

Here is the latest on Paul's brother, Jason. He was moved from ICU yesterday, and he is breathing on his own. He has even gone on a few walks around the ICU unit with the nurses. He can see those that are with him. He is writing and he is also able to read. These are major steps in less than a week of his accident. The doctors are amazed at his progress. We also found out that the Doctors told Rachael, Jason's wife, after the surgery that this was the worst case they have ever seen. The doctors told Rachael that it normally takes 1 doctor 5.5 hours to complete the surgery. For Jason it was 3 doctors for 7.5 hours. One of the doctors even decribed Jason's face as "hamburger." The doctor also told Rachael that he has never seen a case like this that did not sustain some neck injuries, as well as brain damage. Jason is amazing and an inspiration. He is a walking miracle. The nurses even tied a sheet around Jason's neck because he is their and our "superman." I couldn't agree more! We Love you Jason!
