Naughty Monkeys, I-Pods, Geo Tracks...OH MY!!!

Christmas this year rocked as always!
Is there ever a Christmas you look back on and think..WOW that was crappy. I think NOT!! Because Christmas is just always awesome.

So on to what you all really care about....our Christmas Eve PJ's.

Every year my Mom trys to come up with the funniest Christmas PJ's, and every year she one ups herself...one of the women's many talents. This year was no exception....

Behold the Grandkids Pj's...
They all got Paul Frank PJ's. Mogee ( Morgan) is peeking around the corner.

The adults Pj's were the following:
We all got PJ bottoms that said "NAUGHTY" and the girl's got Paul Frank shirts with Angel Monkeys on the Front and Devil Monkeys on the back...the boys shirts then said...Looking for a Naughty Monkey. HAHAHA!!!
Nathan, my soon to be a Missionary brother, did not receive these PJ's. He got the Naughty bottoms, but then he designed a shirt that says, "NICE" on it.

On to other news...Paul and I were about to burst into tears when we realized that this was the first Christmas that our oldest, Sierra, did not ask for-nor receive- one toy. (sniff...sniff) She did however, receive some slamming clothes and an I-pod.

Just in case you couldn't tell, she is pretty sure she is cooler than the rest of us! :) And honestly there are days when this is accurate!

Logan's big haul this year was in the Geo Tracks division. He nearly scored an entire town. (some we had before). Every time he opened one he would say, "Mom, another Geo track! I take it to my house..Geo Track go Home Sweet Home?" He is talking so much more now, and is hilarious!

Shamu also became DTL ( Dead to Logan) over the Christmas vacation. His new love is Dodger, a dog meant for Sierra, but we all quickly learned that it was actually Logan's. Sierra got two new Webkins for the trade...

So in summary, we are Naughty Monkeys, Sierra is cooler than everyone, and Logan is the Mayor of Geo Track Town and a Dog Thief.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Love of Logan's Life!

Logan has few loves! I mean he loves us and all that, but he has few LOVES. He never had a binkie, or a blankie, or a ba-ba! He never had a snuggie, or a bear-bear, or a puppy. He never liked to sleep with a blanket on him, or any kind of plush...but this has all changed. The catalist has been our fun passes to Sea World. For Logan has fallen in love with...........................................

SHAMU!!!

You would never know it by watching him watch Shamu....

but when we won him some medium size plushes at some of the mid-way games, ( these were the highlight of our trip this time) ... one stole this boys heart....

and he has been inseperable ever sense.
He sleeps with him, rides in the car with him, plays with him, eats with him.
While Logan was battling Strep Thoat last week... and his evil Mother with the meds... Logan offered Shamu up as the sacrafical lamb in his sted. (Shamu was very brave...but unable to fulfill the debt!)
Logan has found a friend, and companion,

and I don't think he could be any happier!

Cabeza de Vaca

Sierra had to do a research Project on an Explorer that impacted Texas.

She pulled, Cabeza de Vaca.

She was to write a paper about him and then decorate a poster to look like him, with a hole cut out for her head and two holes for her arms, I know confusing. The only way to properly explain it is to show you:

Isn't she HOTT!

The reason she looks like some sort of shipwreaked person and not a Spanish Explorer, is because Cabeza de Vaca was a shipwreaked explorer! I know we are SO clever.

P.S. The paper was pretty slamming too!

Twlight! or was it a New Moon, maybe it was an Eclipse!

My friend Gina and I succumbed to the pressure and went to the New Moon Premiere. In our defense we were with a bunch of other mom's, not teenagers, in a rented out movie theater at the Alamo Draft House.

Wait! That does not make it sound better.

Listen, we are NOT Twi-hards! I swear!

Anyway, we went.

We went for the AWESOME company, and frankly it was a night out-without kids and we all need that every now and again...

Needless to say, It was fun! I won a door prize..it included this ornament filled with rocks and sand from the actual La Push, Washington! SHUT IT!!! Gina and I were SUPER EXCITED about it.

and now that I got you all jealous..I'm done!

New Year's Resolution #1

Why is December always so hectic?

Why do I insist upon beginning my entire Christmas Shopping at 12:00 a.m. the Friday after Thanksgiving?

Why do I get a real tree?

Why don't I plan ahead, far ahead... you would think after nearly 11 years of marriage, and 9 3/4 years of parenting...that I would have figured out that if I want to relax, and not fight the crowds, I should start my Christmas shopping in January.....

that being said....

anyone up for some day after Christmas Shopping!?!
