President Hinkley

Many of you know that I am a Mormon. My faith defines who I am. Last Night the President of our church, Gordon B. Hinkley, died. He was 97. But, more than being the President of our church he was a Prophet of God. I know this to be true. I am sad. I am sad because I loved him. Just as the people of the prophets of old loved their prophets, or how Catholics mourn when they lose their Pope. It is a loss. But, something else I know to be true is that another Prophet will be called, and the Gospel will go forward. It will go forward becasue it is True. It is something that I know to the very core of who I am. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. That is very comforting to know. I am grateful for all that President Hinkley did for our faith. I am also glad that he is now with his family and our Savior. I guess I just wanted to write that down. I wanted to share my feelings about a man that really helped me gain a testimony of the Gospel, for that I will be eternally grateful!

I Can See!

This was Logan this morning:

The poor boy could not see anything without tilting his head at a 45 decree angle. So, we finally had to succumb to the reality that Logan needed his 2nd haircut. We are very happy with the results! He is such a grown up boy. He will be 18 months old tommorow! Time is going by much to fast! Well talk to you all later!

The Case of the Orange in a Swimmer

So last night I open my fridge to find this! I don't know if you can tell what it is but it is an orange inside of a Little Swimmer diaper. It was on the top most shelf in my fridge which means that Sierra had to have placed it there, so the conversation goes like this:

Me: Sierra what is this? (pointing at the diaper)
Sierra: What? (doe-eyed and innocent)
Me: This diaper with an orange in it in the fridge!
Sierra: Oh I couldn't find the plastic bag it was supposed to go into and Logan had the diaper so I put it in there!
Me: Oh! of course!

What was even funnier to me is that she knew where the orange went but on further inquiry she told me that Logan was the one that stuck the orange in the swimmer and that she just stuck it in the fridge- to help her brother out! What I have discovered is that Logan will be 18 months on Friday and they are already working as a well oiled machine. I love that they are close and that they are friends. I love that Logan handed Sierra an orange in a little swimmer and Sierra didn't even ask questions she just did what he wanted her to do. I love my kids! I love that they do what they can to help the other feel happy! Just thought you might get a kick out of the Orange in a Swimmer Story! Until I blog again!

This Explains Everything!

Many people wonder where I get my personality from. Where do I get my humor, my "sassiness", my fun loving nature. (He He) Well this picture will answer that. This is my family. They are responsible for my behavior. I mean just look at us. What a bunch of weirdos. I am so happy that I come from this genetic pool. I love that when we get together we talk and laugh and just enjoy one another. I love them so much. I am greatly blessed to have such a fun family! Well, I hope this explains everything!

Paul's Demo List

I have added a list to my blog because many people want to know, " What Paul is driving." So, to answer this question I have added a list so that all who are interested, and some of you may not be, can see what Paul is driving. The car at the top of the list will be the car he/we are driving right now! As a side note I just want to say how proud I am of Paul. He has worked so hard for so long to earn this demo and he deserves it! Being a manager for a car retailer is a lot of work and Paul is great at it. Luckly he loves it too! I also want to thank Kurt Debenedetto for seeing in Paul someone that would be a great manager! Unfortunantly, when Kurt became friends with Paul he did not realize that he was getting me in the process. :) HE HE HE
Well enjoy the list! Until I blog again!

The 10th Wonder of the World

My Son is obssesed with the Dishwasher. Everytime I try and do the dishes he is right in there with me. He loves to try and sit in the door of the dishwasher. But, his favorite thing is when he can sneak of with a whisk or a spatula. Logan will walk around the house for hours with a spatula. I often have to "Sweep" the house after loading the dishwasher to find kidnapped spatulas and whisks that Logan has been holding hostage. Logan also has the chore of helping Mommy load the soap, close the door, and press the button to turn it on. This is, of course, the motherload. Hearing the dishwasher turn on. What a treat! I enjoy having a son. Their brains are wired different. They look at the world in a different way. Logan enjoys things that Sierra would never have looked twice at. It is fun and refreshing to look at the world in a different way. I love when my kids teach me something- like to enjoy the wonder that is a dishwasher. I am blessed. I think I will go do the dishes! :)

Til' We Meet Again

I Hate to blog something like this, but we need to say goodbye to a dear friend. Please allow us a few words about him

Dear friend,
You were such an amazing companion. You were there for us whenever we needed you. You waited out in rain, sleet or snow for us without complaint. You sheltered us from storms. You laughed with us, you cried with us, you even refereed a few fights for us. You were loyal. You were courageous. You have now moved on to a better place. Hopefully, you will be loved and adored there are much as we loved you here. All our best! We will miss you all the days of our lives.
All our Love,
The Ostler Family

P.S. We would like to request a moment of silence.
P.P.S Feel free to share with us your favorite memories as we all struggle through this loss.

In Memory of Our Dear Friend: 2006-2008

I'm So Pretty!

Everyday Logan is showing more and more signs of being 18 months old. I love this age. I love my children the older they get. I can not wait for them to be teenagers! I am being serious when I say this. Anyway, the other day while we were all getting ready for the day, Logan emerged victorious from my bathroom. He has been trying for months to gain access to the cabinet under my sink where I keep my makeup stash. It was left open and he seized the opportunity. He then took it upon himself to get ready for the day all by himself. Here are the results. We love it!

My Life is Being Run By Webkins!

I don't know how many of you know about Webkins but they are taking over my life. My 7 year old is obsessed with them. She started collecting them in October and she now has 16 of them. I must admit they are cute and cuddly, and they even keep her entertained, but again they are taking over my life. Why? Well, while taking pictures of Chirstmas morning in all its splendor we realized that we had a full memory card. So after quick deletion, and me shouting over Paul's shoulder- "Not that one, yeah that one is fine, no no no, not that one, did you just delete THAT one?...... "we accumulated just enough space to take some precious pics of christmas morning. All was well! A few days later, however, I came up with the most amazing idea for a scrapbooking page ever. I got the camera to take a few pictures and imagine my horror when I discovered that some of the pictures that I had been saving were no where to be found. In there place were these gems! ( and yes days after the incident they are my gems) Yes! Webkins are taking over my life! My daughter may need an intervention. Dad!?!
