My Own Personal Magican

So my best friend in Austin, Mrs. Gina Adams, is a photographer. She would not say that she is but that is a perfect word to describe her. She is a photographer! Anyway, she always asks to take pictures of my kids and of course I will never turn her down. I don't turn her down because she has the most amazing ability to SEE my children. There is something truly magical that occurs between a photographer and their subject. Gina is a magi can. There has never been a "shoot", I use the term loosely because most of the time they are done on the fly, that she has not captured a new expression, a new grin, or a new look from my kids. Every time I get to see the pictures it makes me look at my own children differently. Gina makes me SEE my own kids and for that I am grateful. Thanks for sharing your gift with me Gina! You are amazing!

Thank Goodness For Dory!

I don't know about all of you but my life is chaotic. I like to thing that I have a controlled chaos, but it is still crazy. At times I feel overwhelmed and stressed. But then a little voice always seems to pop into my head singing, "just keep swimming, just keep swimming," and yes in my head it continues on into- "do do do do." It may seem silly but it makes me smile and feel better. I like to think of it as my inner child telling me to slow down and enjoy the journey. Life does get crazy, and busy, and chaotic but that doesn't mean I have to lose my sense of humor about it all. I remind myself everyday that parenting and life are an ongoing process. Sometimes we work just to stay afloat and sometimes we are able to swim the English Channel-but for today I think I'll just keep swimming.

Call me a Sheep

I too have joined the blogging world. I can say I am excited about the prospects. I am happy to have the new found opportunity to write daily. This will be a fun way for me to keep in contact with my sisters-in-law who I love, miss and adore. So, call me a sheep! I have followed my sisters into the field that is blogging, and I couldn't be more happy about it! Hope I am more entertaining in the future-this is all I could muster. Tell we meet again!
